“Life will pay whatever you ask of it.”

Clarity is power, the more you’re brain knows what it is looking for it will go for it.

So becoming clear on what is most important to you you give yourself the opportunity to align yourself wholly towards what you want.

Ask yourself intelligently, and ask of life intelligently.

Know what you want clearly.

State it in the present tense as though you already have it.

Make it Specific not general so you pin point exactly what you want. So if it’s a level of income state it in exact figures, if it’s a car state the colour, model, age, mileage, if it’s a love in your life describe him or her in detail including their qualities and values. Be specific.

Make it Measurable so you can know it to be quantifiable and exact, this is an expanded aspect of being specific.

Make it something Evidential so that you can know exactly when you’ve got it.. because this and that is happening in your life. There’s clear evidence that this goal has been attained and is a part of your life.

Make it your Responsibility. Your goal is something you are responsible for attaining, no one else. A goal is not a goal if someone else has to attain it for you.

Make it Timed. Set an exact date on it. “Today is 10th September 2010, and I feel… now that.. I am.. I have..”

Make it Inspirational. If your goal doesn’t inspire you to go for it, it’s not a true goal. It needs to be inspirational to move you. It needs to be inspirational to drive you through any challenges you face along the way.

And finally make it Emotional. Describe all the emotions you’ll be feeling with this goal fully realised and a real part of your life. The more emotionally you can connect to it’s outcome the better.

Be explicitly Clear in exact detail.

But don’t underestimate the need to connect to your reasons WHY.

Why do you want this? What difference will it make? What will your life be like if you do attain it? What will it be like if you don’t go for it and attain it.. in 5, 10 or 20 years time?

Your reason why is that element of inspiration, that element that will keep you moving forward through the challenges and successes along the way.

Clarity and purpose takes a little work. So take some time out. Get out your journal, dig deep.

Imagine what it will be like to have the goal you desire as a reality in your life.

Imagine and visualise yourself living with it.. how you would be within yourself.. how your life would be.. what you would be doing.. what you would be experiencing.. how you would be feeling.. how would you be interacting with others.

Once you dig deep into this, then you can write your goal with clarity and purpose.
